COVID19 UPDATE TO PATIENTS 

The surgery is open from 8am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday.  Requests via econsult for non-urgent problems can be made between 8am-6.30pm, Monday to Friday, the practice will respond within 2 working days.

Appointments - Due to the pandemic outbreak Tower House is operating a total triage telephone service to patients. This is a virtual appointment.  All appointment requests must be made via the telephone or remotely using econsult (link below).  Your GP or nurse will review your problem and will then, depending on your needs

- offer your advice via text

- offer you a telephone call

- offer you a video call

- ask to see you in person (face to face) or

- navigate you to other services 

Prescriptions - All prescriptions should be ordered online where possible.  Please ensure that you have a linked pharmacy.  Please do not come to the practice to collect your prescription.  If you are linked to a pharmacy you can contact your pharmacy to see when you are able to collect after you have ordered from the GP.

Please do not turn up to the practice unless you have been told to do so.  If you have been told to come to the surgery you will be asked to wear a face covering.  The front doors will be locked and will be opened by a receptionist as needed.  Please be patient with our receptionists. It is important to turn up at your appointment time. as in line with social distancing rules the surgery must limit the number of patients in the waiting room.

The government recommendation from the 15th June is that all visitors and outpatients must wear face coverings at all times.  From 15 June 2020 we request that all members of the public when attending practice premises wear a face covering. A face covering may be anything from a mask to a scarf or anything suitable to cover your nose and mouth. The practice will not be supplying face masks and you will be required to bring your own.

Tower House Practice has been established in Runcorn Old Town for over 60 years. We have occupied the present purpose built Health Centre since 1982 and it is shared with Grove House Practice and Bridgewater Community Trust.

All our consulting and treatment rooms are on the ground floor with good access and special toilet facilities for the disabled.

GP EXTRA SERVICE IN HALTON

Need a routine appointment after 6.30pm midweek or at the weekend?

The Halton based extended hours General Practice Service.  Pre-bookable and same day appointments available for you,  with prescribing practitioners.  Mon-Fri 6.30-9.00pm and Sat-Sun 9.00am-3.30pm.  You can make an appointment via your GP surgery or at weekends only can contact GP Extra by telephone on 01928 593078.  Appointments available for GP's and Health Care Assistants.
